lyrics
Immersed in his reverie,
he was sitting before his father,
and so many years
Years passed.
After a long time his body
withered from the wind and the sun,
and fell down like a tree
Tree cut down
At the root.
But the restless mind,
in search
for pleasures, pictured beautiful countries,
and wandered across
Across them, like a deer passing
….
from one forest to another.
His mind, lost in desires,
wandered through various lives,
ascending
to heaven and descending to earth,
restless as if it’s tied to a spinning wheel,
until settled on the Samanga river side.
He being without a body,
experienced the endless variety of lives
and the events within them
as real
and the events within them as real.
Body remained in the Mandara mountains,
winds dried it up and it became skin-tight bones.
The wind whistled, blowing through the body holes,
like cheerful notes of joy of deliverance from sorrow.
The miserable suffering mind
fell into the deep pit of creation,
and a string of cloud-white teeth
seemed to laugh at it.
The body's empty eye sockets reminded how void they are,
the once beautiful mouth that had fallen in resembled an old overgrown well
in the woods.
It seemed like tears at the memories
of past joys soaked it
Like a dry branch,
the body swayed creakily,
as if the epitome of heavy ascesis
among the blowing winds.
In the hole of the heat-dried body - bird nested,
and among the dried up viscera - frog rested.
Worms swarmed in the empty eye sockets,
and the chest of ribs was braided with cobwebs.
The skull rose above the rest of the skeleton on the bones
of the spine, as if the dead body was stretching its neck.
The reclined face on the long neck seemed to be
staring after its soul flying into the sky.
The long thin bones extend even further in immobility,
apprehending the burdens of the long journey.
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
My favorite current band. Death, Jinjer, Suicidal Tendencies, Blue Öyster Cult, Tool, Faith No More, Jane’s Addiction, Jerry Goldsmith, and Abominable Putridity walk into a bar. There’s a huge fight; then everyone does DMT, and Afterbirth is the result. Metallurgical Fire

First WTF was google music actually throwing something good into my feed.
Second WTF was everything every goddamn member of this band does. This and the previous album have been on repeat for weeks. All other music tastes like diet water. Help. Gruso
